Voices of the Trench (Trench Crusade Lore)

In the blighted expanse of No Man's Land, where the echoes of artillery are the only psalms, a lone waystation becomes the stage for a battle not of armies, but of souls. Sister Clara, a practical woman of faith forged in the crucibles of war, is tasked with protecting a most precious and terrible asset: Thomas, a child prophet whose mind has been surgically altered to hear the Voice of God. When the station is besieged by a Heretic warband led by a sorcerer with a singular, apocalyptic goal, Clara and Thomas are driven into the crypts beneath the chapel. There, they must confront a horror more intimate than shellfire—a ritual designed not to kill the boy, but to corrupt the divine itself, using his unique nature as a weapon against the very foundations of their world.
